TERMS & POLICIES
COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Foci will gather some generic information. We receive and store any information you enter on our Services or provide to us in any other way. The types of Personal Information collected may include your name, email address, Twitter and/or Facebook usernames, location and browser information. We automatically receive your location when you use the Service.
You can choose not to provide us with certain information, though you may not be able to take advantage of many Service features.
When you use the Services, Foci automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform, including your location, IP address, browser type, operating information, mobile carrier, device and application IDs, cookie information, and the page you requested. We treat this data as non-Personal Information, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law.
Once you install Foci Mobile App, you may be providing us with additional information, such as contacts and camera-photos on your device.
The Service needs to know your location. Whenever you open and use/interact with our apps on your mobile device or go to one of our Sites, we use the location information from your mobile device or browser to pin the Services experience to your current location. We can show you a list of nearby locations, friends and tips. This information is NOT shared with others.
The Service uses your mobile device’s ‘background Location’ to provide the Services, including to send you notifications of tips/friends/interesting things etc. near you. If you have ‘background location’ turned on, the Foci Mobile App will tell us about your device’s location even if you are not directly interacting with the application.
Your real-time location can be shared on the Foci Mobile App if you consent to share it. If you write a tip, like or otherwise interact with a place, users may infer that you have been to that location. Some content, like tips, are time stamped and other users could use that information to infer when you were at a place even though tips can be posted when you aren’t at the place you are leaving a tip about.
SECURITY OF THE PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your Foci account Personal Information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately, and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.
COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
When you visit the Site, we may deliver one or more "cookies" to your computer hard drive through your Web browser. A cookie is a small file containing a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser contributes to the website each time the visitor returns.
ACCESSING, REVIEWING AND CHANGING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Foci allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, renewing that information and guaranteeing that it is accurate and complete. You can access this information on the Services by visiting the user settings page. This list will change as our Service changes: name, password, email address, other User profile information (for example, home city, photo).
SHARING THE INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
DELETING THE ACCOUNT
If you should decide to delete your Services account, you may do so by clicking on the "delete account" button on Mobile Application settings page. If you terminate your account, your profile will be removed from the site and deleted from Foci's servers. Because of the way we maintain Foci, such deletion may not be immediate, and residual copies of your profile information or posts may remain on backup media for up to one hundred and fifty (150) days.
CHANGES TO THE POLICY
If you have additional questions or concerns about the policy or the Service in general, please, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
